101 Kissa

94a Abercrombie St, Chippendale NSW 2008

101 Kissa is a newly opened cafe in Chippendale serving a mix of Japanese and Asian fusion dishes located about a five minute walk from Central Park.

The interior design of the cafe is simple yet pleasing to the eye and it makes you feel like you're sitting at home on the couch.

For the drinks, they offer a range of hot drinks ranging from coffee served by ONA to a variety of lattes. As for the cold drinks, they have several choices of milkshakes, fraps and even smoothies.

Pink Baby & Kickouts Smoothie $7.50
As there were so many different choices for drinks, we decided to order the Pink Baby Smoothie and the Kickouts Smoothie. The Pink Baby was a mix of watermelon and lychee while the Kickouts is a combination of banana, mixed berries, chia seeds and almond milk.

Both drinks were very fresh and was quite sweet. The smoothies at 101 Kissa are definitely worth trying as you wouldn't leave unsatisfied.

Pulled Pork Benedict $18.50

101 Kissa serves all day breakfast along with a selection of lunch dishes.
We ordered the Pulled Pork Benedict which consists of slow cooked pull pork, mixed coleslaw and poached eggs which was topped with housemade smoky hollandaise and crushed pistachio.

The dish itself was very well presented and tasted just as good. The pulled pork was very well done with great flavour and as for the poached eggs, the housemade sauce really brought it to a new level. The Pulled Pork Benedict should definitely be on your list when you come here!
Matcha French Toast $16.90

We also decided to try the Matcha French Toast which is one of the sweeter options that they offer. The french toast was topped with grilled banana, ruby pear, mascarpone with japanese matcha jelly and pistachio crumble on the sides.

The toast itself was quite nice as it wasn't hard, rather soft and the fruits that came with it were sweet. As for the Japanese matcha jelly, it wasn't quite sweet but it was still very enjoyable. Overall, this dish is well presented and has some great flavours to it.

101 Kissa is definitely a cafe you should be visiting as they provide quality food and drinks that also look amazing on camera. On a side note, the staff that work here are all very welcoming and nice. I would definitely be coming back to try the other dishes as well as the coffee they serve.
