Meet Mica

Shop 5/492-500 Elizabeth St, Surry Hills NSW 2000

Meet Mica is a very warm and inviting cafe located about a five to ten minute walk from central station.

They serve a range of unique fusion dishes for brunch along with breakfast which is served all day. For the drinks, they have a range of coffee and hot drinks, cold press juices, teas and a small variety of cold drinks.

Although when I went, it wasn't that busy but I've heard that they can get very full so it would be a good idea to get there early to avoid the lines.

Hot Chocolate $4 | Organic Chai $4
The hot drinks we ordered this time was a classic hot chocolate with 44% mass chocolate and also a organic chai latte.

The drinks were served in these cute cups which added to the simplicity of the cafe. The hot chocolate was nice as it had a strong chocolate flavour and for the chai latte, it quite rich and not too sweet as well. Both of these drinks are classics that should definitely try if you're looking for something hot with little to no caffeine in it.
Crab & Egg Croissant $22
As for our main meal, we were debating whether to try the Crab & Egg Croissant or the Duck & Cha Soba Salad which both sounded very nice.

We decided to go for one of their more popular picks which was the Croissant. The Croissant was crispy and was served with soft scrambled eggs, crab mix, butter corn and fish roe to top things off. All of these things were put very well together and although it was an enjoyable dish, we thought that this dish was a little overpriced for what you get. Despite that, the Crab & Egg Croissant is definitely a dish that you should get for brunch!
Matcha French Lava Toast $18

The Matcha French Lava Toast is one of their signature dishes and was also one of the main reasons to why we wanted to go here.

It was served with condensed milk which you could pour yourself onto the lava french toast along with a rang of fresh fruit on the side.

Cutting through the Matcha Toast, matcha sauce came oozing out from the middle. The matcha sauce went well with the toast as it wasn't very sweet which was well balanced with the condensed milk. This dish is worth trying when you're visiting Meet Mica.

Meet Mica is a cafe you should add to your list if you haven't been here, not only does the food look on camera but it is also very well done!
